NOW did a certain "ruddy" young man, called David the son of Jesse, lament the death of his best friend, Jonathan, and his tormentor-in-chief, King Saul, in the biblical text of Samuel? The future king of Israel had mourned and grieved for the slain monarch and his heir, saying, "how are the mighty fallen!" thinking over the momentous events of the last couple of weeks, and writing this, I struggle to find a place for the same emotions in my own heart, as I remember the late of a certain 'king' Moammar Gahdafi of Libya.

I have thoroughly searched every single soft spot in my heart, and all I can find are strong words, no pain, no regrets, almost. Sitting back here, someone's old saying, said to belong to a great American president of yesteryears, rings true.
