Uganda: Police Deny Intimidating Makerere Guild Vice President

Police at Makerere University have denied allegations that they went to the room of the university guild vice president at Complex Hall (CCE) on Monday night and intimidated her.

Ms Doreen Nyanjura, a member of opposition FDC, alleges that the officer in-charge of Makerere Police Post, Mr Julius Caesar Tusingwire, and another police officer only identified as Ian, invaded her room at half-past midnight on Monday, saying that they had a message from the police chief, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura and they intimidated her.
