Nigeria: Representatives Threaten to Dump 2012 Budget Over Okonjo-Iweala

Abuja — House of Representatives yesterday threatened to shun the 2012 budget presentation by President Goodluck Jonathan if the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala fails to appear before its committee on Appropriation next Monday.

The House had summoned Okonjo-Iweala to appear before the Appropriations Committee in order to furnish it with details of the 2012-2015 Medium Term Financial Framework (MTFF) recently forwarded to the National Assembly by President Goodluck Jonathan.
