West Africa: CNPP Slams FG Over Relinquished ECOWAS Position

Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) yesterday said it amounted to absolute insensitivity and abdication of the rights of Nigeria in the international community for President Goodlcuk Jonathan to accept that Nigeria should relinquish the post of Commissioner for Finance and Administration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Addressing a press conference in Abuja, chairman of CNPP, Alhaji Baralabe Musa said the move was a ploy by some powerful forces to bring about imminent collapse of the regional body.
