Nigeria: Kaduna Tertiary Institutions to Embark on Indefinite Strike If...

Kaduna — The Joint Union of Tertiary Institutions in Kaduna State has given Governor Patrick Yakowa one week to implement the 25.5 per cent balance of the Consolidated Tertiary Institutions Salary Structure (CONTISS) or risk strike.

Addressing newsmen in Kaduna, the chairman of Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) in the state, Barrister Abashiya Aniggo, who spoke on behalf of the union, said the CONTISS came into effect nationally in 2007, and that it is supposed to be implemented by both state and federal tertiary institutions.
