Gambia: Women Manufacturers in the Limelight

Women in the 21st century have been engaged in lot of activities to help boost the economy and contribute immensely towards the socio economic development of the nation.The Gambian women are not an exception, as they are in all aspects of development in the country; ranging from education to agriculture.

In a recent interview with women food manufacturers during the trade exhibition of Gambian-made products, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Yassin Jah, commonly known as Yal's,from the National Association of Food Processing, informed that she is involved in cereal processing, and highlighted the constraints they face as women and also as manufacturers.
