Gambia: WABSA Disburses D80,000 to Four Member Organizations

The West African Study Association (WABSA), disbursed D80,000.00 eighty thousand dalasis to four (4) organizations, who are part of the WABSA Birdlife International Gambia Project Implementing Committee. Speaking during the occasion, at the Department of Parks and Wildlife Management (DPWM) Abuko. The executive Director of WABSA Mr Lamin Jobarteh said the funding is from Birdlife International new project for 7 countries in West Africa, and the Gambia, WABSA was selected as the trustee, who also entrusted the 4 organization to implement the project activities.

According to Alagie Manjang, the assistant Director DPWM, WABSA has been a long time partner with the department in conservation; therefore the successful implementation of these projects will raise the flag of WABSA high and the Gambia at large.
