Liberia: Winston Tubman Backtracks

Barely 24 hours after Congress for Democratic Change or CDC Winston Tubamn told Bloomberg, a South African online news magazine that he wasn't consulted on his party's plan to set conditions on whether it will take part in the November 8, runoff, has told the VOA that the error letter to his party is sufficient ground enough to stay off the election. "I got no input," Tubman said Wednesday in a phone interview in Monrovia with Bloomberg, a South African Magazine reports.

"I was not consulted; neither did it meet my approval as the party standard bearer." He declined to comment further.
