Nigeria: Nations Cup Ouster - Siasia Knows Fate Today

Embattled Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia will today know his fate regarding the Super Eagles plum job. After failing to qualify Nigeria for next year's Nations Cup, the NFF technical committee met and forwarded their recommendations to the executive committee of the federation. Today, members of the committee will meet at the federation's headquarters in Abuja to reach a final decision on the matter.

Embattled Siasia has been under intense pressure after the ouster. Former ex - internationals Tijjani Babangida, Garba Lawal, Emeka Ezeugo and Daniel Amokachi have all called for the sack of Siasia for failing to qualify the Eagles for the Nations Cup. Should Siasia get the boot, former internationals Daniel Amokachi and Sunday Oliseh have indicated interest in his job if the post is declared vacant by the NFF. Daniel Amokachi said, "I've not applied for the job, but certainly I will do that if the position is declared vacant by the Nigeria Football
