Uganda: Businessman Kalungi Risks Jail Over Court Absenteeism

CITY businessman Moses Kalungi has been warned that his absenteeism from court in a case where he is accused of fraud, could lead to his remand to Luzira Prison.

Buganda Road Court Grade One Magistrate Patrick Wekesa issued the warning Thursday when court was informed that Kalungi was not in court. Kalungi's co-accused, his wife Phionah Kalungi was present.
