Abuja — Alarmed by the poor state of roads in the country, the Senate yesterday announced a plan to work out a special intervention fund for full scale repairs of all the dilapidated federal roads.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, Senator Ayogu Eze (PDP, Enugu), said during the committee's inauguration: "Our road infrastructure is in a very bad shape and the job of fixing it is an onerous one and we think there is need to create a special fund in addition to budget for ministry of works."
