Tanzania: England Legend Launches Dar Football Clinic

Dar es Salaam — England football legend Bryan Robson yesterday officially launched Airtel Rising Stars clinic with a call to relevant authorities to take keener interest in youth sports promotion.Robson, the Manchester United's longest serving captain in the club's history, said investing in the youth was one of the best ways to unearth tomorrow's soccer stars."I am very happy to launch this programme because it is designed to benefit the up-and-coming players," the former Red Devils' midfield maestro said.

The four-day clinic is aimed at polishing the youngsters scouted during the recent Airtel Rising Stars championship that involved Under-17 students from various secondary schools.The clinic, the first event of its kind in the country, has brought together players from Kenya, Malawi, Sierra Leone and hosts Tanzania.
