The renewed bid by the House of Representatives to amend the law establishing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) might be connected with the ongoing trial of some former and serving members of the legislature, it was learnt last night.
The amendment being sought is for the agency to be headed by retired jurists instead of retired police officers.
