Egypt: Turkey Exempts Govt From Duties On Cotton Textiles

The Turkish government decided to exempt Egypt from duties levied on cotton textile imports as a protectionist measure, Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Mahmoud Issa said on Thursday 27/10/2011.

Issa, in press statements, said his talks with Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Committee for Economic and Trade Co-operation (COMCEC) in Istanbul last week, covered the importance of offering more facilities to Egyptian exporters to boost trade between the two countries.
