Egypt: Govt to Receive 200 Million Dollars to Upgrade Irrigation Methods

An agreement was reached with international bodies to offer loans and grants worth 200 million dollars to upgrade irritation methods in Egypt, said Agriculture Minister Salah Youssef.

While signing a 3 million-dollar grant agreement with the Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF) in cooperation with the World Bank (WB) on Thursday 27/10/2011, Youssef said the grant will be used to develop irrigation systems in 200,000 feddans in Kafr El-Sheikh and Beheira.
