The National Fund for the Disabled has advised the physically challenged to apply from the fund items that would help them set up businesses and improve their economic wellbeing.
Speaking yesterday during the handing over of an assortment of equipment to the disabled in Kitui, fund CEO Annie Mugambi said the disabled need to look for ways of generating income to stop the culture of dependency. "We understand the need for wheelchairs to aid in your mobility but you should look beyond that and apply for items that will help you set up businesses," Mugambi said.
