Kenya: Kiunjuri Asks Prime Minister to Step Aside Over KKV Scam

Public Works assistant minister Mwangi Kiunjuri has asked Prime Minister Raila Odinga to resign over the scandal involving the Kazi kwa Vijana funds. Kiunjuri said Raila should take political responsibility and step aside to pave way for investigations adding that the Premier was directly responsible for the lost funds.

The Laikipia MP said the PM should leave office just like other government officials previously involved in scams had done. "The Prime Minister has been on the forefront asking other people involved in scandals to resign and he should therefore take political responsibility and resign," said the assistant minister.
