Kenya: Limuru Mechanics in Fear of Disease Outbreak

Mechanics in Limuru town are facing a possible disease outbreak due to sewers that have burst near their garages. The mechanics have accused the municipal council and Limuru Water and Sewerage Company of laxity to repair the two sewers. They said that they the two wholes burst three times a week and fill their garages with filthy smell as waste flood all over. They added that if the issue is not arrested many mechanics will be infected with diseases.

"The sewers rip open three times a week and the waste floods all the garages. The waste is very toxic and we fear that we might end up many of us being hospitalized due to disease outbreak like cholera," said the Chairman Daniel Ndirangu.
