Kenya: Mombasa Court Frees Terror Suspect

A Mombasa court yesterday declared a terror suspect free. The suspec,t Awadh Mohammed, who is the chairman of the beach management unit and works at the Kenya Ports Authority as a security officer had been detained for interrogation by the anti-terror officers since last week.

He was suspected to have links with the seven fishermen currently being by the African Union Mission in Somalia forces in Mogadishu on suspicion of involvement in trafficking of terrorists and weapons. The police had said they suspected Mohammed was involved in organised criminal activities and that his accomplices were the fishermen held by Amison in Somalia.
