Kenya: Public Asked to Provide Their Views On Isaack

Members of Parliament have asked members of public to submit any complaints they may have on the suitability of Isaack Hassan as the chair of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). The parliamentary Constitution Implementation Oversight Committee has also asked the public to submit any presentations they may have on the suitability of the other eight persons nominated to serve as members of the new electoral body.

COIC, which is chaired by Mandera Central MP Mohammed Abdikadir, has said all complaints must be received by Monday. In newspaper advertisements, COIC has said representations from the public or any other group should be forwarded to the Clerk of National Assembly Patrick Gichohi either through post office or by hand delivery.
