More police officers have been deployed to the Busia border point to beef up the screening of passengers entering the country. The move comes as the country heightens its security in the wake of two grenade attacks in Nairobi by suspected sympathisers of the al Shabaab militia group of Somalia.
The al Shabaab leadership had called upon its sympathisers to carry out retarliatory attack on Kenya over its decision to deploy its armed forces to track down the group across its borders in Somalia.
