Members of a youth environmental group cycling from Kakamega to Nairobi have had their mission slowed by the heavy rains pounding the region.
The cyclists, four women and six men are members of the Kakamega based Youth Environment Network in Africa intend to raise money they want to buy a million seedlings to reafforest the Kakamega forest in commemoration of the late Nobel Laurite Prof Wangare Maathai. They were flagged off by Western PC Samuel Kilele on Wednesday.
