Dar es Salaam — Investing in the capital markets protects savings against the weakening of the shilling and rising inflation, a senior official of the Dar es Salaam Stock Market has said.
DSE Operations manager Emmanuel Nyalali said savings in bank deposits can be eroded by the weakening of currency and rising inflation but the value of the money invested in stock largely depends on the performance of the companies.
