Nigeria: Nenadi Usman Tasks Government On Women

Senator Nenadi Usman (PDP, Kaduna South) has called on the government to give proper attention to women and children being the most vulnerable members of the society.

She made the call while receiving an international award from the African Women Economic Consortium (AWEC), a U.S based non profit organization.

She said bettering the lives of women and children globally was the responsibility for all, especially governments, individuals, groups and organizations.

Senator Nenadi Usman commended the organization for focusing on the very important areas of medicine, politics, business, media, entertainment, humanitarianism, education, spiritualism and civil rights while selecting the honourees.

The African Women Economic Consortium, a philanthropic non profit organization, was founded in 2002 as an organization of women of diverse racial, social, educational and spiritual backgrounds, "who have recognized the need for proactive action for change in the lives women and children, locally, nationally and globally".
