TELECOM Namibia has apologised to its broadband Internet clients for slow downloads from international websites.
In a statement released yesterday, Telecom Namibia senior manager for public relations Oiva Angula said the problem lay beyond Namibian borders. He said it was caused by a failure in the SEACOM undersea cable as well as a capacity loss at one of Telecom Namibia's upstream service providers, Belgacom in Europe.
