Kampala — Business around the Old Taxi Park came to a standstill yesterday afternoon as police used bullets and teargas to end a scuffle between two warring drivers' groups, the Uganda Taxi Operator's and Driver's Association and the Driver's and Conductors Central Association.
The fight was sparked off when Uganda Taxi Operator's and Driver's Association (Utoda) wardens started beating operators belonging to their rival group, Driver's and Conductors Central Association (DACCA), who had refused to pay the daily operation fees of Shs4,500 at the Entebbe stage.
