Uganda: Lukwago Backs Rival Drivers Body On Fees

City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has backed the Driver's Association and Conductors Central Association (DACCA)'s decision not to pay daily and monthly operation fees to Uganda Taxi Operators and Drivers Association until a case filed by the latter is heard and determined.

In a November 4 statement, Mr Lukwago, who is currently on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, insists that Utoda has no running contract with KCCA and use of violence will not 'save them'.
