Nigeria: FCT Minister Assures Residents of Safety During Sallah

FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed has assured residents of the safety of their lives and property during the Sallah festival.

The minister who gave this assurance in his Sallah message called for greater unity among Nigerians and total support for the Federal Government as it strives to improve their wellbeing.

He thanked the residents of the nation's capital for their support of the Federal Government and the FCT Administration so far while assuring them that government would not rest on its oars in ensuring that it delivered full democracy dividends to the people.

On security, the Minister said the FCT Administration was working together with the various security and para-security agencies to ensure safety of lives and property in FCT during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations and assured "ample measures have been put in place to ensure that miscreants did not have their way".

He however advised the residents to be vigilant and cooperative by reporting all unlawful acts and suspicious movements to the Police and other relevant officials.
