Ever since the government identified infrastructure as one of its main intervention areas a few years ago, the state of Uganda's roads, especially the highways, has improved tremendously.
However, considering that most of the roads endured decades of neglect, what has been achieved so far is merely a drop in the ocean. Much more needs to be done, and faster. This point could not have been made better than by the current heavy rains.
