Tanzania: Election Supervisors Claim Unpaid Sh1.4 Million

Serengeti — More than 20 people who were engaged as supervisors during the October 2010 General Election at Ikoma Ward in Serengeti District have claimed that they were yet to be paid their allowances amounting to about Sh1.4 million.

Reports indicate that the National Electoral Commissioner (NEC) had released the allowances to Serengeti District Council but the former supervisors claim that the money did not reach them.
