According to a press note from Mirex, the homage will have into account the president's deeds throughout his political trajectory, as the country's first Foreign Affairs minister, patron of the Angolan diplomacy and statesman.

The organisers will also distinguish all of the country's former Foreign Affairs ministers, at a gala that is to be attended by government officials, MPs, religious entities and members of the civil society.

This action is aimed at paying homage to employees that joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in period of 1975-1976, with diplomas.
