Nigeria: Customs Hands Over Seized Drugs Worth N6 Million to NAFDAC

Kaduna — Consignments of a banned drug, Nimesulide, worth N6 million, which were impounded by the Nigeria Customs Service early this month along the Niger/Katsina border, have been handed over to the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Kaduna.

According to a statement issued yesterday by the Public Relations Officer of NAFDAC, North-West Zone, Jessica Okwuchi, the Comptroller of Customs, Federal Operations Unit, Zone B, Alhaji Abu Buba Gusau, who handed over the drugs to NAFDAC, said they were seized at the Niger/Katsina border through Jibiya road.
