Angola: President Dos Santos Defends Memorandum for Guinea-Bissau

Luanda — The Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, Thursday in Luanda pointed out as a priority for Guinea-Bissau the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the reforms in the defence and security in that West African Portuguese speaking country.

As Portugal is leading the UN Security Council, said Dos Santos, "we would like to ask for the engagement of his excellence the Portuguese premier in transmitting our message to president Dr. Cavaco Silva, to make contacts, either in Africa, or in other continents, to ensure the support for Guinea-Bissau".
