Angola: Political Parties Told to Cooperate in Electoral Registration Process

Dundo — The chairperson of the northeastern Lunda Norte province Electoral Commission (CPE), Gabriel Caiongo, urged political parties based in the region to cooperate with the local Government in the electoral registration update.

The officials was speaking to Angop during a meeting held Friday in Dundo to analyse the process in the region.

Gabriel Caiongo urged participants to have more responsibility, taking into account the importance of consolidation of democracy.

Gabriel Caiongo also urged political parties to get organised in order to monitor the process in line with the law.

Representatives of ruling MPLA and opposition UNITA, FNLA and PRS attended the meeting.
