Maputo — The leader of the Mozambican Forum of Demobilised Soldiers, Herminio dos Santos, said on Saturday that the demonstrations his group has been holding will only end when the government concedes their demand for a monthly pension of 12,000 meticais (about 440 US dollars) for every former soldier.
Dos Santos was speaking at a meeting with his followers in the Machava administrative post, in the southern city of Matola, called to discuss their next steps.
