In the court order made by Justice Gabriel Kolawole, the party was specifically ordered not to take any steps to violate the ex-parte orders made unless it wants to incur the court's wrath to counter it through an order nullifying such actions.

Though the judge did not specifically grant an injunction sought by Sylva against conducting the primary, it also did not refuse the said prayers but ordered that the processes and all motions filed in the said suit be served on the respondents who are required to contradict the pleadings filed by Sylva within 72 hours of pasting of the orders on the premises of the PDP. Other defendants in the suit were the Acting National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Kawu Baraje and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
