Nigeria: Mimiko Calls for Investment in Girl-Child Education

Ibadan — GOVERNOR of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko on Thursday in Ibadan advocated massive investment in girl child education saying this is imperative in the face of the global population explosion coupled with the attendant socio-economic circumstance of the family.

He made the call at an interactive session with journalists in the Oyo State capital shortly after receiving a merit award of the Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON), in recognition of his administration's commitment to safe motherhood healthcare.
