Tanzania: Zanzibar Stutter Again

Zanzibar national soccer team put its chances to progress to the quarterfinals of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in jeopardy, after managing a barren draw with Burundi in a group B match at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

The draw has left Zanzibar with just one point while Burundi, which kicked off its campaign with a 4-1 drubbing of Somalia, has collected four points to continue enjoying the top position in the group and bolster its chances to progress to the next stage. Either of the two teams could have come out victors based on plenty of scoring chances they had in the match but neither could fully exploit the chances.
