Nigeria: Anti-Gay Marriage - UK Makes U-Turn, Pledges to Support EFCC

Abuja — The British government yesterday swallowed its words when it pledged greater cooperation and support for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The British government has stated emphatically that it would not offer any aid to Nigeria if it goes ahead to pass the anti-gay marriage, but just few days after the Senate passed the bill, Britain pledged to assist Nigeria surmount current challenges in the anti- graft efforts.
