Nigeria: Estate Demolition - Development Control, REDAN to Form Joint Inspection Task Force

The FCT Development Control department and the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) have reached an agreement on how to avoid further demolition of built-up estates in the Federal Capital Territory.

Development Control Agency, a department under the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) had recently carried out various demolitions in estates' sites in different parts of Abuja, citing illegal building on buffer zones and no building approvals, among others as reasons.
