Kenyan forces in Somalia on Monday scored a major achievement when they killed forty five suspected al Shabaab fighters in two attacks in Afmadhow. Kenya Navy officers on Monday foiled an attempt by five al Shabaab fighters aboard a boat armed with weapons to attack a Kenyan warship. There were no casualties on the Kenyan side according to the military spokesman.
In an incident termed as the deadliest engagement, KDF hit two camps in Afmadhow as the militants attacked a TFG convoy in Hayo killing 11 TFG soldiers and injuring 54 others.
