Uganda: Star Trail - Elephant Man Cursed

Ugandans have cursed Jamaican star Elephant Man for not showing up for the Kati Kati show last Friday.

The Jamaican refused to sing after promoters failed to settle his 'wages'. The fans' anger flared when they were left to look at artistes like Ks Alpha, Coco Finger, Vampino and Obsessions Africa.

"These are the usual artistes we see everyday; why pay that much for them?" an angry fan raged and compared the show to a funeral deep in the village where machines also mourn the deceased.

Meanwhile, the singer was besieged by requests from most of the local musicians claiming to be dancehall artistes, for a collabo. Some musicians wrote their numbers on papers and passed them on to his crew members with requests for duets. Bobi Wine, DJ Michael, Peter Miles, Mr Mosh, Phantom Lovins, Mega Dee, KS Alpha, Rabadaba, Mr X and Dr Propa, among others, were dying to work with Elephant Man.

Silk Lounge's Shs 800m redo

Club Silk's management closed Silk Lounge earlier this year to have the place refurbished.

The place was reopened to the public yesterday as it hosted Silk's seventh anniversary and word reaching Star Trail is that the new seats, décor, air conditioning and sound cost Silk boss Elvis Sekyanzi a whopping Shs 800m.

And that is not all; sources have revealed that the other sections of the club are also going to undergo refurbishment early next year.

Bobi Wine family for reality TV

Bobi Wine wants to remain in his fans' faces by starting a reality TV show with his wife Barbie. The show will see cameras following the self-proclaimed ghetto president wherever he goes and the same will apply to Barbie.

Two prominent TV stations have so far approached Bobi Wine and he is reportedly about to sign a deal with one. If all goes as planned, he will be opening up his life Kardashian-style for the world to see how he eats, breathes and sleeps. Good luck!

Stecia Mayanja to launch in January

Unlike her colleagues in Eagles Production, Stecia Mayanja had never held a solo concert or album launch, but she is finally breaking the jinx and holding her first album launch in January at Club Obbligato.

Stecia will be launching her latest album Equalizer and plans are already underway.

Iryn and Julianna face off

It's no doubt they are the best female voices in the country and it has been long since we saw the two friends- turned-foes, Iryn Namubiru and Julianna Kanyomozi, share a stage.

Now the organizers of My Kid is a Superstar show, scheduled for December 18 at Kololo airstrip, have lined up both artistes to battle it out on one stage as the main attraction of the event.

Mase Consults who are behind the event said the artistes have already confirmed attendance.
