Angola to Produce 24 Million Tonnes of Carbon Credit

Durban — Angola will produce 24 million tonnes of carbon credit per year, with the implementation of six projects, out of 60 so far identified, seeking to reduce the emissions relating to gases and hydro-electric dams, Angop learned Wednesday in Durban, South Africa.

The project was announced by the minister of Environment, Fatima Jardim, at the High Level Follow-up Meeting under the ongoing 17th United Nations Conference on Climate Change that opened Tuesday.
