Eritrea: Integrated Efforts Needed to Raise Women's Awareness and Participation in Education

Massawa — At an assessment meeting held in Massawa, it was stressed that integrated efforts are needed to raise the awareness and participation of women in education, as well as improving their living standard.

Ms. Mesuda Humed, Head of NUEW branch office in the Northern Red Sea region, said that women have vital role to play in socio-economic development, and hence vigorous efforts are required to eradicate harmful practices and social prejudices.
