Nigeria: Bako - Shagari Is a Loyal Deputy to Wamakko

Sokoto State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mukhtar Shagari has proven to be a loyal deputy in the time he has worked with Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Alhaji Danladi Bako, former DG of the National Broadcasting Commission and member of the PDP in Sokoto State has said.

Bako who stated this while talking to Daily Trust in Abuja yesterday also gave credit to the deputy governor for exhibiting high loyalty to the party as learning Governor Wamakko's ways which have now endeared him to the people of Sokoto State.

The politician noted that Shagari and other foundation members of the party like Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and others whose loyalty to the party structure in Sokoto has not been in doubt stand the chance of succeeding Governor Wamakko after his constitutional tenure. He also said he believed other foundation members of the PDP will reconcile with the main stream to move the Sokoto PDP forward.

Bako lauded the conduct of delegates' election of the PDP which took place on Tuesday across Sokoto, saying party members had conducted themselves properly. He also commended the way the north central chapter of the party has resolved internal disputes without allowing it to do any damage to the structure of the party.
