Kenya has bought a consignment of refined oil products to avert shortages next month after the Kenya Petroleum Refineries Limited (KPRL) delayed importing its own crude oil to process and sell.
The 138,050 tonnes of oil products was bought through a spot tender for delivery in January in addition to over 200,000 tonnes earlier bought for the month. Kenya last bought 347,768 tonnes of oil products through a spot tender for delivery in December to February.
