Gambia: Physical Education Teachers Course Wraps-up

The 10-day advanced course for Physical Education teachers in primary schools came to an end on Monday at a ceremony held at the Friendship Hostel Conference Hall in Bakau. The course was initiated through the Gambia German Sports Cooperation (GGSC) and brought together PE teachers from around the country.

Deputising for the minister of Youth and Sports, Sheriff M Gomez, principal assistant secretary of the Ministry, Kawsu Fadera in his closing remarks noted that it is indeed a pleasure to be in the midst of the participants and congratulated them for their hard work. He then thanked the German Embassy for the facilitation of the course and challenged the participants to get their students motivated. He also commended the PE teachers for forming an association and hoped that the new body will bring and build a new network for PE teachers.
