Uganda: Super League Needs Its Giants to Be Competitive

Sam Ssimbwa's gun-wielding (Rambo-esque) celebration may have left a nauseating taste in my mouth, but it was no doubt eclipsed by the bland diet that SC Villa and KCC FC served in the second of last Friday's televised Super League games.

Ssimbwa had stolen all the thunder in the first televised game when he hailed all the three goals Express FC stuffed in Police FC's onion bag with a plastic celebration that reminded many of a certain Jimmy Gatete. But at least the Express coach tried his utmost to inject a dose of entertainment into the match as his table-topping outfit sealed a come-from-behind conquest. He ensured that the hamburger he prepped had steak in between.
