Inflation fell by 0.78 per cent to stand at 18.93 per cent over the month of December marking the first drop in 12 months, official data showed yesterday.
Effectively, this means consumers on average paid 18.93 per cent higher for goods during December 2011 compared to December 2010. An item that cost Sh100 in December 2010 now costs Sh118.93.
