Egypt: Al-Wasat Supports Presidential-Parliamentary System
29 December 2011
Vice president of Al-Wasat Party, Mohamed Abd el-Latif, stressed the party's full support for a mixed presidential-parliamentary system in Egypt regardless of who calls for this system.
"A presidential-parliamentary system is the only one that can guarantee avoiding giving absolute powers to the president and is also the only guarantee to having balance in power distribution in the country," Abd el-Latif said in a statement quoted by Middle East News Agency (MENA).
